Ollie Needham is hosting this session in collaboration with Doncaster Chamber of Commerce and Business Doncaster to support local businesses that want to get more value from their video content.
Through our work, we regularly speak with teams who are already creating video but aren’t seeing consistent results. They’re posting content, investing time and budget, but without a clear structure behind it. The challenge isn’t effort. It’s clarity. There’s often no defined purpose, no clear audience, and no measurable outcome tied to the content being produced.
This workshop is designed to change that.
You’ll learn how to approach video with a clear plan, understand what content actually works across different platforms, and apply simple techniques that improve your output immediately. The focus is on giving you a practical, repeatable way to create video that supports your marketing and sales, rather than just adding more content to your feed.

What You’ll Learn
1. Strategy: Getting Clear on What to Create
The first half focuses on helping you make better decisions before you even press record.
You’ll look at how to plan content that has a clear role within your wider business goals, rather than creating videos without direction.
You’ll learn how to:
- Define the purpose behind each video and link it to a specific outcome
- Align your content with your wider marketing and sales activity
- Understand how different platforms shape the type of content you should produce
- Use personal brand to build trust and create a stronger connection with your audience
- Focus on human connection and emotion, which are often the factors that drive engagement and action
By the end of this section, you’ll have a clearer idea of what you should be creating, who it’s for, and why it matters.
2. Execution: Improving Your Videos Immediately
The second half focuses on execution and removing the common barriers that stop people from creating effective video.
You don’t need a complex setup or expensive equipment to produce strong content. What matters is understanding a few key fundamentals and applying them consistently.
You’ll learn how to:
- Improve your lighting using simple, accessible setups
- Capture clean, clear audio that keeps people engaged
- Frame your shots in a way that looks intentional and professional
- Film confidently using your phone, without overcomplicating the process
- Plan your shoots so you can create both short-form and long-form content in one session
This part of the session is designed to give you immediate wins. You should be able to apply what you learn straight away and see a noticeable improvement in your content.
Who Should Attend?
This session is aimed at businesses that want to take a more structured approach to video but aren’t sure where to start or how to improve what they’re already doing.
It’s particularly relevant if you:
- Are a founder or business owner responsible for your own marketing
- Have an internal team creating content but lacking a clear direction
- Feel unsure about what to film or how to make your content more effective
- Are investing in video but not seeing a clear return
If you’re questioning why your current content isn’t delivering results, this session will help you identify what needs to change.
What You’ll Leave With
By the end of the session, you’ll have a clearer and more practical approach to video.
You’ll leave with:
- A simple framework for planning and structuring your content
- A better understanding of what drives engagement, trust, and action
- Practical techniques to improve the quality of your videos immediately
- A repeatable approach you can apply across your marketing channels
More importantly, you’ll be able to create video that connects with real people and plays a clear role in supporting your business goals.
